Balance
If you don't have a sense of balance with your designs then the viewer's eye won't know where to look, and what you're trying to communicate may not get across.
An example of balance in graphic design is the album cover for SR3MM by Rae Shremmurd. On the album cover, there is one of the artists either side of it and they both have an equal amount of space, shown by the divider in the middle.
Proximity
Proximity is the process of making sure related design elements are placed together. Any unrelated items, should be spaced apart. Close proximity indicates that items are connected or have a relationship to each other and become one visual unit which helps to organise or give structure to a layout.
This is an example of using proximity with both text and graphics. The text is well organised, grouping together things such as the name of the movie (A Clockwork Orange) and the director (Stanley Kubrick). Also, the pictures are grouped together, and positioned on the same side of the layout, they are not mixed with the text.
Alignment is vitally important in print graphic design because it: allows you to arrange elements in a way that matches how people naturally scan the page. helps balance your image so that it's visually appealing. creates a visual connection between related elements.
An example of alignment is the mix tape cover for Bless Yo Trap by Murda Beatz and Smoke Purpp.
All of the things on the cover, are all aligned to the center, making it easy to look at.
Repetition
Repetition is simply the process of repeating elements throughout a design, or several pieces of design collateral to give a unified look. You can think of it as adding consistency to a design.
An example of repetition is The Dark Knight poster, it has the same card over and over in the poster, creating a background.
Contrast
Contrast is a visual difference, used for distinguishing a certain object (or objects). An example of contrast, is the cover art for the album 11 by The Migos, the red background makes the three artists stand out as compared to the light red they are very dark, also the white doves stand out against the background too.

Idea 1 - Best Price:An app which searches the internet for the best deal on a certain item of clothing.
Idea 2 - Owe: App for tracking who owes who money Was thinking of an app that you can select from your contacts / facebook friends, who owe you money or that you owe money too. This will include what amount is owing and a reminder of when to pay by.
Sometimes it can be awkward asking particular people for money so the app can send reminders to pay if haven't done so by the due date.
You can then pay through the app using something like Paypal.
Idea 3 - Local work: If your bored and have alot of time and are in need of some quick cash, just click on this app and see what people in your neighborhood or in your city need done. A mobile app which'd enable people to share what they're eating, where, price etc. This could then be used to recommend based on your preferences, what your friends are having, price and what not.
